Welcome back to Pilates With Marilyn
My name is Marilyn Harder, pilates instructor, and pilates master trainer.
This week in episode 4 we will combine an awesome mobilizing flow from shoulders, hips, and spine with the concept of physical fitness as the prerequisite for happiness. Our thought and body image topic for this week is inspired by Joesph Pilates himself. Joseph Pilates was big into the trifecta of mind, body, and soul. He believed that everyone is the architect of their own happiness and he said physical fitness is the prerequisite to happiness and that is because when we feel good in our bodies and we have generalized mobility and control of our bodies we have the tools to then fully experience the joy and zest for life.
When our body doesn’t move well, it doesn’t feel well. Which are normal parts of the human experience, we lose that ability to spontaneously erupt into the joy of life. With that, we are going to explore how movement can be integrated into our health and take care of ourselves first to maximize the joy and true happiness of the human experience. It does not mean you have to have a picture-perfect body but it’s about finding the home and enjoyment within your own.
I will see you this week, practice self-care this week.
You are worth it.
