Full Moon Greetings!
This Full Moon culminates on April 16th at 11:54 am PDT. The Full Moon is in the sign of Virgo and the lunar house of Chitra. Chitra is called ‘the shining’ and is connected with arts, architecture, aesthetics, and having beautiful children. With Jupiter newly in Pisces directly across from this full moon giving its supportive glance we receive a sense of sustenance and bounty in this next cycle.
April is a month full of shifts. It is quite unique to have all the slower moving planets- Saturn, Jupiter and Rahu/Ketu -all move signs in the same month!
How transits affect us personally has everything to do with the placements in our own chart, but generally speaking here’s a bit about some of them.
The Jupiter transit on April 13th into the watery and transcendent sign of Pisces should be quite positive. Jupiter in Pisces can be expansive and although a bit idealistic and impractical, it can really bring out the best in Jupiter’s broad thinking and positive outlook.
On April 12th Rahu moved into Aries and Ketu into Libra for the next 1.5 years. This is a transit that emphasizes self over to prioritizing others. Rahu is not quite as comfortable in Aries as he was in Taurus (Rahu and Ketu move backwards through the zodiac). Rahu here can bring a strong sense of independence and a call to action. Rahu’s unpredictable nature becomes more fiery and fierce in the Mars ruled Aries, where impatience and urgency can rule over steadiness. This transit can really motivate us into doing, but it can tend to be too self oriented. It is especially important for those with prominent planets in the sign of Aries to remember this!
Also on April 13th Sun moved into Aries. As Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, Sun into Aries signifies the New Year in certain parts of India. Sun is powerful in Aries, but Rahu’s presence can may set that Martian fire ablaze this next month, especially with the Solar Eclipse.
The Solar Eclipse April 30th occurs at 16 degrees Aries. This eclipse is forming between Rahu, the planet of delusion, and the Sun, the planet of our Self. This could create some veiling and shadowing of the truth, especially for those with planets near 16 degrees Aries. Solar eclipses always occur on the new moon, which means not only are the shadows strong but our Moon, our sense of security, is invisible in the sky.
Saturn moves into Aquarius on April 28th. On Saturn’s transit next time!
Overall, it is a transitional time for all, with a word of caution to the Aries folks to watch out for extra impulsivity and sudden events! Be in touch if you’d like more direction in this.
Love and Blessings,
