This beautiful full moon culminates on January 28th at 11:16 am PST, making the night of January 27th the best time to see the moon at its fullest in North America. This moon occurs in the sign of Cancer and the lunar house of Pushya.
Though of course not completely without issue from some more difficult planetary aspects, this is a strong full moon! Moon is in its own sign of Cancer, where the caring, nurturing and supportive qualities of the Moon and its sign can really flourish. The nakshatra (lunar house) of Pushya where this full moon occurs is one of the best in the zodiac. Pushya means ‘nourishment’ and its symbol is the cow udder which tells its connection with nourishment and sustenance. The day when the moon is in Pushya each month is considered the most auspicious, and things started on this moon tend to grow as they are well supported. If we add to this the natural support that is characteristic when the moon is full, it shows that this moon and the cycle it brings can give us quite a bit of positive growth that is able to last.
Since tomorrow is Thursday and the full moon lasts until 11:16 am, tomorrow morning would be a great time to start something you’d like to see expand and grow. Thursday, the day of Jupiter, is helpful in expansiveness, and is also the deity connected with Pushya nakshatra. If there’s nothing in particular that you’d like to begin or nourish then this timing can be used for study or meditation.
(Please note that this is a very general timing that I am giving, and to really pick a timing I must look at your chart, but this one was so nicely lined up that I felt to share it!)
For tonight, get on out there and bathe in that Full Moon light, or do some offering to the Goddess!
The influences of both Mars, bringing agitation, and Saturn, bringing delays, is not the best, but there are may positives, including the influence of Jupiter and Venus, that the overall effect of this Full Moon will be beneficial.
Mercury goes Retrograde on 1/30 and while it can cause issues for those with Mercury retrograde or other Mercury issues in their chart, it does not have to be a big deal. Leave extra time for traveling and any computer work in case there are disturbances, and try to avoid signing any important documents until 2/20 if possible.
The combustion, getting too close to the Sun, of Jupiter and Saturn both over the next 7-10 days can cause some intensity, and the sign of Capricorn sees a lot of activity over the next month. Expect there to be an over focus on the area of life represented by Capricorn in your individual chart.
If you’d like to see how any of this applies to you personally, be in touch.
Love and Blessings,
